Shree Venkateshwara Bhagwan

Shree Mukti Narayan Dham venkateshwara Mandir situated in the Green Field, Majitha Road, Amritsar, Punjab, India. The Temple is dedicated to Venkateswar Bhagwan (a form of Shree Vishnu Bhagwan). Venkateswara is known by many other names: Balaji, Govinda, Srinivasa and many more.

Venkateswara means Lord of Venkata. The word is a combination of the words Venkata (the name of a hill in Andhra Pradesh) and isvara (Lord). According to the Brahmanda and Bhavishyottara Puranas, the word 'Venkata' means 'destroyer of sins', deriving from the Sanskrit words vem (sins) and kata (power of immunity). Venkata means ‘WHO TAKES AWAY PROBLEMS’.

Wherever the infinite koti brahmand nayak Parabrahma Parmeshwar Bhagwanu Shrimannarayana has manifested himself on this earth, that place is called Bhu-Vaikuntha. There are eight such great places in this earth of death, of which four are in the north, four are in the south. In the north are Pushkar, Naimisharanya, Shri Badrinarayan, Shri Muktinarayan. To the south are Sri Radaganatha, Sritotadvinatha, Sri Tirupati and Srimushanam, the Bhu-Vaikuntha.

One of these eight Bhu-Vaikunthas: Introduction of Shrimuktinarayan Dham :-

Shrimuktinarayan is also known as Shaligram Kshetra. The holy river Gandaki, which has flowed in two streams through the pairs of Gands of the Lord - has emerged from the Damodar Kund from here itself. The battle of Gaj and Graha took place in this Damodar Kund. For the protection of Gajendra, the Sudarshan Chakra of Lord Shrimannarayan also went in this pool, due to which everything here is still called Chakradikat Shrivaishnava. From this stream of Krishna Gandaki, the Shilavtar or Archavatar Shalagrams of the Lord are found automatically inscribed with the signs of various forms and weapons. Due to this, this area has been the penance place of many great sages like Daghichi, Lomash, Markandaya, Bhrigu, Pulaha etc. Bharatvarsha, the Chakravarti emperor who has become famous by the name of Bharat, had attained Brahman knowledge by doing penance here. Due to the absence of this place in the Shalagram temple, that temple is not considered complete because every Shri Vaishnava considers himself blessed by taking Tulsi Charanamrit of Narayan in the form of this rock, which has been sung in many ways in the Puranas:
